Function

Gilles Mourette is the Chief Executive Officer of the Company.

Career

Mr. Mourette graduated from the HEC Paris in 1980, and has since accumulated over 25 years experience in the insurance and financial services industry. In 2008, he received certification as a company administrator from Université Laval's Collège des administrateurs de sociétés.

He joined SSQ Financial Group in 1999 as Senior Vice-President of Technology. In June 2008, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of SSQ General Insurance Company Inc., a subsidiary of SSQ Financial Group.

Extracurricular

Mr. Mourette is a member of the Quebec chapter of the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) and sits on the board of directors of the Centre de développement en assurance et services financiers (CDASF) as well as the board of directors and executive committee of the Groupement des assureurs automobiles (GAA).

Before that, he sat as an external representative from 2002 to 2007 on the Special Board for Technology Investments with the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, from 2006 to 2010 on the board of directors of Centre de recherche informatique de Montréal (CRIM) and from 2008 to 2010 on the board of directors of the Corporation des assureurs directs de dommages du Québec (CADD).
