SSQ General Insurance employees are wearing jeans—for a good cause!
Quebec City, Quebec, December 2, 2009—Throughout the year, SSQ General Insurance employees were encouraged to wear jeans to work on Jeans Days held to support worthy causes. So many Jeans Days—so many worthy causes!On five occasions during 2009, the majority of SSQ General Insurance employees came to work in jeans, each contributing $5 for the chance to do so. SSQ General Insurance turned the money raised on Jeans Days over to three organizations whose causes and values it supports: Opération Enfant Soleil, Fondation de la Maison Michel-Sarrazin, and Centraide Québec et Chaudière-Appalaches. Supplies for the Magasin-PartageThe most recent Jeans Day—on Friday, November 20, 2009—was extra special, as participating employees were asked to bring $5 or more in non-perishable supplies to benefit the Magasin-Partage. As a result of their efforts, 675 items were turned over to the community organization during this event. SSQ General Insurance thanks its employees for their generosity!
