SSQ General Insurance celebrates sports excellence with athletes and partnersQuebec City, Quebec, April 19, 2010—Gilles Mourette, president and CEO of SSQ General Insurance, was guest of honor at the 11th edition of the benefit dinner for Université Laval’s Rouge et Or Volleyball Club, held on March 31 at the Loews Le Concorde Hotel. The aim of the dinner was to raise funds to support Université Laval athletes in their search for excellence and to celebrate their successes. For nearly 20 years, SSQ General Insurance has been a proud supporter of the very successful women’s and men’s Rouge et Or volleyball teams—winners of 48 provincial titles and four Canadian championships since 1973! These results are due to the athletes’ talent and dedication and the club’s efforts to support and encourage them. We are proud to support a varsity-level sports excellence program that distinguishes itself not only by its successes, but also by the caliber of its athletes and trainers. We were delighted to hand over the unprecedented amount of over $37,000 to the Université Laval club this year.
