SSQ General Insurance provides additional coverage to enhance your basic coverage. Some of these options are available individually, but they are also offered as an Auto Extra package that includes the following:

Civil Liability for Damage to Non-Owned Automobiles

This option broadens damage insurance to cover the insured for damage to any vehicle not belonging to him or her, up to a maximum of $50,000.

Drive Other Automobiles

This option broadens “Civil Liability for Damage to Non-Owned Automobiles” insurance to include people living in the same household as the designated insured.

Loss-of-Use Extension

This product covers the cost of renting a car, hiring a taxi, as well as other subsistence expenses for a covered claim that has made the vehicle unusable.

Accident Benefits

This insurance covers the designated insured, his or her spouse, and dependent children for bodily injury resulting from an accident involving at least one vehicle.

Deletion of Deductible—Total Loss

The insured pays no deductible when damages result in the total loss of the vehicle.

Deletion of Deductible—Hit-and-Run Accident

The insured pays no deductible when damages are caused by an accident on a public road for which the third party is not identified, provided the accident was reported to the police.
