All in a Day's Work
Every day as a Claims Expert is different, because every claim is different. My main task is to support and reassure our policyholders. Usually, when they contact our department, they have just been through an unfortunate event like a theft, fire, or flood. It’s at that moment that I have a critical role to play—supporting and guiding our policyholders according to the stipulations of their insurance contracts. They have to be able to reach me, and I have to provide the resources they need to face their challenges. I can’t do it alone. I’m part of a team that includes my coworkers, supervisors, partners, and policyholders. I believe that being a Claims Expert is the best job in the world, because every day brings new challenges and new opportunities to learn.
My Time at SSQauto
In October 2003, I was hired as an Auto Insurance Claims Expert. In April 2007, I was transferred to the residential division. I am also involved in my department through committees like the customer service committee. In addition, I have upgraded my skills with the Insurance Institute of Canada, becoming a CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional).
Before Joining SSQauto
I earned a diploma in administration with a focus on insurance and financial services at Cegep de Ste-Foy. On October 6, 2003, I began working at SSQauto.
