What does building insurance cover?

A building insurance is divided into two parts: property and civil liability.

Your property	The building, you own and that is rented to third parties Any personal property rented to third parties, as required Detached private structures located on the insured premises (e.g., a garden shed, detached garage, etc.) The rental value which covers the loss of rental income following a covered risk, as required
Civil liability	Building insurance protects you against financial consequences in the event of liability related to the premises for bodily injury or property damage involuntarily caused to others. If you are sued for damages covered under this protection, SSQauto will cover the full cost of your defense.
