How do I make a claim?

This section explains how to make a claim for damages in the categories Broken Window, Auto, and Home.

Here are a few general tips that can be invaluable on any claim:

  • Submit your claim to your insurance provider immediately because your insurer must be able to determine the exact cause of the damages.
  • Keep the damaged objects.
  • Don't make decisions on your own. Before replacing damaged or lost articles, contact your insurance provider to find out the easiest way to proceed.
  • Make sure your claim is completely aboveboard. Fraudulent claims are systematically refused by all insurance providers. And to make matters worse, it can be extremely difficult to find a company that's willing to reinsure someone who has made a false claim in the past.
